Real talk: 80% of my problems? Same root cause

Hello from home!

Lately, I’ve been doing some deep thinking. Not the fun kind that comes with travel or a cup of hot filter coffee (Mysore is clearly lingering in my thoughts :D)

I’ve come to a startling realization, (ok maybe not so 'startling' since my therapist told me this 4 years ago, lol)-

About 80% of my problems, my constant 'I can’t' moments, and even the little hiccups in my day boil down to one thing: low self-worth.

For years, I’ve been conditioned to believe that I’m not enough. I’d compare my journey to others, say yes when I wanted to say no, and let my inner critic call the shots.

It was like carrying an invisible weight, a belief that I didn’t deserve my own success or happiness.

However, I’m finally starting to see that this belief isn’t set in stone. It’s something I can change, one little decision at a time.

So now, I’m on a journey to improve this, to nurture my self-worth and build a life that feels right from the inside out.

I’ve started:

  • saying 'no' to something that drains me
  • allowing myself a quiet moment without guilt
  • reminding myself that I deserve kindness from others, and most importantly, from myself

This isn’t a magic fix overnight, but it’s progress.

Low self-worth is a silent disease.

It doesn’t scream. It hides.

It’s not your personality. It’s your pain in disguise.

It convinces you to chase validation like a drug. To seek proof that you matter.

When we start healing, we stop

  • needing constant validation
  • picking fights with ourselves in our heads
  • taking everything so damn personally

And it isn’t built by thinking positive. It builds every time you choose yourself.

I’ve been taking baby steps - reading, journaling, and sharing how I truly feel more in conversations.

Each time, I’m slowly unlearning those old habits of self-doubt and replacing them with a new narrative of self-respect.

My Personal Branding Community

I recently launched a small community dedicated to helping people build a personal brand affordably.

It’s a space for real talk - prompts, tips, templates, and guidance on how to show up authentically online, even on days when you feel less than confident.

I also share freelance project opportunities for my community members to help them build their portfolios and some quick pocket money ;)

And here's what people are saying:

It's on WhatsApp and we're already 5 people strong (limiting it to 10 for now).

A little exciting (and mysterious) update

Next week, I’m travelling for a very special project.
It’s something that feels so aligned, creatively fulfilling, and fun.

I can’t share the details yet but it has me seriously excited.

Stay tuned. Can't wait to tell you everything. 💛

Until then, remember, you don’t need to earn your worth. You were born with it.

See you next Wednesday!

Love,
K

Hello from Yaakten! If you've missed the last few emails, this is a remote village in Sikkim where we're building India's first digital nomad village. I've been here for 3 weeks. At first everything was exciting - the fresh mountain air, the lovely weather, the kindness of villagers, the stillness. But as the days passed, the quiet started to feel a little too quiet.I found myself craving for some company. Someone I could sit, laugh and talk about life with. Not just company but connection....

Hello from Yaakten! It's been a week since I came to this village in Sikkim which we're transforming into India's first digital nomad village. Life here is quite simple. I have a minimal, comfortable & functional room with a work desk and hot shower.Wifi is fast - one of the best I've found in the mountains in 4 years of travelling and having it in this remote village in Sikkim is unbelievable. Weather is lovely, monsoon is in full swing. Not too hot, not too cold, just how I like it. Locals...
